Karlene Yamamoto is a skilled professional with a diverse set of experiences in the private and nonprofit sectors. She earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Pittsburgh and a J.D. from Pace University School of Law.
After graduating from law school, Karlene ran her own law practice in Atlanta, GA for 5 years before moving to Columbus, OH. Since moving to Columbus, she has held positions at Columbus School for Girls, in-house counsel for Big Lots and most recently, City Year Columbus. She served as the Director of Development at City Year and led the organization through a period of extensive growth.
Karlene also serves on the board for the South Side Learning and Development Center and Youth Yoga Project.
